I have raised the request with the relevant team to include the date of birth in the client record, once this is available we will be able to use it to populate the relevant area in Personal Tax and/or include it in the update feature so a user is notified of any changes.
As for re-entering data, if the prior years return is set at the top of the page to Finished, when you create a new period, you will be asked if you want to 'roll forward' if you choose yes a lot of the standing data from the prior year will roll into the new year, reducing the amount of re-keying you will need to do.
