Cerain addional information (as free text) in the self employment section can reduce possibility of HMRC enquiries. At present there are only 2 options: special arrangements & where profit for this year was reported on last year's tax return. The desktop personal tax offers such free text, specifically for the self-employment section. Currently I use the free text facility for general additional information which appears on page 7 of the personal tax return.....thanks.
