Corporation tax: Remove the "Not for client approval" watermark

This is a nightmare, you can't tag ixbrl accounts on SAPA until they are approved but can't run a CT600 to send to approve without a watermark unless you start the tagging on CT software, then you have to lie and say "accounts not attached" to get that far and then when approved by client on the new really long pack it produces we have to start the tagging and filing process again. Too much room for error and means we are wasting time. Not sure why this has been added. The watermark I was told was to stop someone editing the PDF but nowadays anyone can edit anything with the powers of AI so not sure this will fix anything. Please remove.

Pleaase remove the watermark. We do not go to clients with the accounts on one day for approval, then generate the CT600 and go back to the client and say here's another document to sign. They are all done on the same day and the watermark needs to at the very least be optional so that it can be removed from what the client signs

Please make arrangements for the water mark to be removed. It is unnecessary and unworkable. We tend to send prepared CT and computations and Financial Statements for approval before submission.

We attach the XPRL and Tax Computations when we submit the approved documents.

I don't think it is helpful to provide the XPRL and other docs to the client.

Please revert to original or give us the option so that we can send to clients for approval without the confusion of the watermark stating 'not for client approval'

Please remove the watermark - creating havoc - clients don't want to sign something that says "not for client approval"

Please remove the auto-fill watermark and leave for us to add if necessary.

Agree with comments below. It is nonsense to send a client a document that says 'Not for client approval' for approval.

I completely agree with everything said below. We do not have this issue on personal tax, so why should it be on CT? We send the CT600 to a client for approval at the same time as the accounts, so there is no need for a watermark in the view return section.

Agree with both these comments, you have to do the filing process twice just to get a non watermark document and even then it is both computation and return in one PDF. This is too time consuming and the old way was perfectly fine as it was. Please give us the option to opt out at least of this new way.

    Dear Sage Support Team,

I wish to formally raise serious concerns regarding the recent change introduced in the latest version of Sage Corporation Tax, where the “Not for Client Approval” watermark has been made compulsory.

This change is creating significant operational difficulties for all users within our practice. The watermark is unnecessary for our workflow and is adversely affecting productivity by introducing additional manual steps and avoidable delays in processing the work

The forced inclusion of this watermark is:

    • Disrupting established operational procedures

    • Increasing processing time for every case

    • Creating confusion during internal and client-facing reviews

    • Causing inefficiencies across teams handling large volumes of tax computations and reports when required on single day

What was previously a smooth and efficient process has now become time-consuming and cumbersome solely because of this mandatory feature.

We strongly request that Sage immediately:

    1. Remove the compulsory watermark requirement, or

    2. Provide users with the option to disable it through settings/preferences.

Software updates should improve operational efficiency, not create additional administrative burdens for users. This issue is affecting day-to-day work significantly and requires urgent attention.

We urge Sage to treat this matter as a priority and release an immediate fix or configuration option in the next update.

We look forward to your prompt response and resolution.

    Kind regard

    Pinkal Shah
