If a client is self employed, but does not have any self employment income for this year, when you enter zero in the self employment section of Sage SA, this does not pull a zero through to page SEF1 box 15 Turnover and a validation error “Special case 19” is displayed. The SA return is unable to be filed online.
The work around is to copy the return for editing and input a zero in box 15.
This issue would be resloved if Sage SA were to populate box 15 with a zero.
Good afternoon,
In the next update changes have been made to populate SA103F, box 15 (Turnover) with zero, rather than leave blank, and Special case 19 is no longer triggered.
